We bought a house.. At closing the sellers did not have all the keys and informed us that the house had been rented for a time. We contacted Florence Lock and Key right away to get the locks changed and install secure deadbolts. They were first rate people to deal with. They made an appointment right away and fixed all the locks and installed secure deadbolts. And even with quick attention to our needs, their bill was very reasonable. Don’t hesitate to call them! They are good people.

I had Professional Lock and Safe out to my new business to change all three steel door locks. They did exactly what I needed and then some by making a master key for all three doors and then another key that only opened two of them. They fixed a few other issues with the original mechanisms and even did a little work to make all three doors unlock more smoothly. They left me with more than a dozen keys as requested and all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend their service and will be sure to call them for any future business or personal needs.

I have used Professional Lock for years from the minor copying a key to having my house locks changed. Recently had an issue where I had to secure my house and change all the locks. After speaking with the company about my issue they were out to my residence with in 24 hours and were able to change them all within an hour. The owner went about and beyond also helping me by changing the keys to my truck while he was working in the house locks. I would recommend to anyone Professional Lock and will continue to use them.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL service. I had trouble opening my business today because the lock wouldnt open. He is normally closed today but thats why he has the 24/7 service. As soon as I called him, at 8:30AM, he had an angry tone to voice. I asked him if he could help out and he said that either we pay in cash or he would not come and help. I cannot believe someone can run a business and be ridiculously rude to their customers. I don't give my customers an attitude and I have to wake up and seeve them at 7AM. There is no reason for an attitude LONG STORY SHORT: BAD AND RUDE SERVICE AND EXPENSIVE

I bought a used car with only one key and needed to have another key made up. I shopped around and Serv-U had the best price around. I read reviews that steered me away but other places were quoting such high prices. I called and talked to a representative who said they stand behind what they sell so I took a chance and am glad I did. They ordered the key using the VIN and it took about a week for the key to arrive. They called to let me know and I scheduled an appointment to have it programmed. It took about 15 minutes. It works great. You can't tell the key I bought from the original. It gives me peace of mind to know I have a reliable spare.

I needed a duplicate car key with a chip made for each of my vehicles. I called twice, once to see if they could do what I needed and what it would cost; the second time to make an appointment and ensure they had in stock the appropriate blanks. I was assured I could just walk in and that I would need my vehicle with the key. So why, WHY, do I take time off from work to drive to their retail store to be told that they are out of stock of the blanks that I had called about earlier that day! Why?! Service-U locksmiths not only did $300 worth of work walk out your door, You will get no referrals from me. You don't value your customers time

This morning I realized my remote starter wasn't working, figured it probably needed a battery. I went over to Serv-U because it was convenient, thought I might save some time and money instead of heading to the dealer. The Serv-U employee popped the back off of the key fob, put a new battery in, had a problem putting the thing back together but finally did. He said he didn't see the light come on or flash when he pressed the button so something might be wrong with the fob itself. We went outside, he tried it, it did NOT work. He suggested I go to a business that sold/installed remote starters. We went back inside. I was under the impression that he would take the battery back....I mean who knows, it could have been a defective battery? In my opinion, the new battery didn't work, the problem was not solved. If I were in his position I would have removed the new battery, handed back the old battery and the key fob and said, "sorry I couldn't help you", along with not charging for something that didn't work. But no...he charged me for the battery, $5.+ tax. That was very disappointing. I didn't make a big deal of it because there were a lot of people waiting in line for keys to be cut but I will not go back there for anything and I would not suggest anyone else going there with problems with a key fob. Sometimes, trying to save a little money, isn't worth it, the car dealership I'm sure would have handled it much better. When I got home I called the number on the back of the key fob, which I probably should have done in the first place. I was told that when a battery is replaced in a key fob, sometimes, depending on the make/fob, it has to be reprogrammed in order to work. I did not know that when I went to Serv-U...........AND OBVIOUSLY THE PERSON WHO WORKS THERE, THE PERSON WHO REPLACED THE BATTERY IN THE KEY FOB, DIDN'T KNOW THAT EITHER!!!!!!!!! JUST A LITTLE SOMETHNG TO REMEMBER WHEN TRYING TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS!

This is the place to go for any type of door hardware. One of the few places in the area that will build a lockset to your existing keys. Prices are compatible with any hardware store but section way better.

These guys did an amazing job cutting me 2 new Volkswagen keys. The guy who helped me took his time being very careful and making sure not to over-cut and ruin the keys. They were very professional and I absolutely will be coming back with anything else I need done.

Ray and his team are fantastic. We needed to have our business re-keyed and The Flying Locksmiths were able to offer the best price and service. The team that arrived at our office worked quickly and were able to complete the job in just one day without any impact on our daily operations. Ray and his team are available for follow up questions and were able to correct all the issues we had with matching different manufacturer components with what we needed. If you have a locksmith job, big or small The Flying Locksmiths is the best decision you can make

I had this company come to my business to look at a lock on a security gate that was loose. To their credit, they showed up when they said they would and did the work that I expected them to do. My surprise was when I received their bill. Not only was I charged a $95.00 service call fee (probably common in this business), a $75.00 labor charge (for 20 minutes of work) but there was a $10.00 "supplies charge" apparently for the $5.95 part that was needed to complete the repair. This company charged me $10.00 for the privilege of buying a small part from them. So, a minor, quickly rectified problem with a security gate lock ended up costing me $186.00! I will definitely shop around a bit before I hire another locksmith as to me, these charges seem a little excessive for such simple work.

i called them cause my dog was locked in my bedroom. the call was answered quite quickly and i told the lady who answered the phone what was going on and she asked me for my zip code... i told her and she looked for an available tech in my area.... after a semi long pause she asked if she could put me on a brief hold which i accepted.... about a 3 min hold time and she came back and said that there were no techs available but she was going to transfer me to someone who was going to give me a referral to someone else... ok that was also fine. a few second hold and some guy with an accent came on the line who was nice and courteous told me that he didnt have any techs avaiable in my area and he was going to give me a number to pop a lock and they would take care of me. i asked him to hold on for a sec while i found a pen. i found one and said to go ahead with the number... he gave it to me and upon me reading it back for comfirmation he told me that he was going to call instead to make sure they took good care of me.... ok i said.... a lil odd but okay. he put me on another brief hold then connected me to someone named paige who took down my address and number and said they would have someone at my house within 30-45 min.... i now know why he wanted to connect me directly... it was so i wouldnt be able to go and reasearch the comapny..... the pop a lock tek arrived very fast. too fast for one company to be super booked and another to seem like they had nothing to do. anyway he was here no longer than five min.... he stuck a friggen pioece of plastic in my door and it popped open... i went in to check on my dog and get a check book while he went for the invoice.... he comes back $95 dollars please..... now im not the type to say something to someine about the price of anything.... i dont like confriontation nor do i like to seem like im cheap..... so i wrote the check. idk how much the flying ones would have cost me but i dont think i have ever been so ripped off in my life. so much for being taken care of. thanks dude with the accent. next time im going to pay one of those ones that advertise $15 dollar services..... or maybe use my credit card to open the door.... ironic.......

This business advertises that they offer 24 hour service. We set up and appointment on 2 occasions and they cancelled both times at the very last minute. When the second appointment was set up and I didn't hear from anyone, I called between 3:00 and 3:30 and was told that someone was going to be there by the end of the work day. I got a call close to 4:15 to tell me that the technician wasn't going to make it after all - closing time was 4:00 pm I guess. So much for their 24 hour service. Cancelling the appointment at that time is very unprofessional as it left us with no alternative for that day. They showed no regard what so ever for the safety of the customer. Truly FALSE ADVERTISING.

What I'm about to write seems very similar to other reviews - so buyer beware, you're better off going with another company if you value your time. I reached out to The Flying Locksmiths via their online chat function. On a positive note, the person I dealt with was very responsive and very courteous - answered all my questions and I got a quote very quickly. When it came time to schedule an appointment, i once again reached out via the chat function. I requested to be the first appointment on a Tuesday. The rep answering chat (whom i will not name out of respect) confirmed I would be the first spot, between 8-9am. Her exact words were "The only way that would change would be if an emergency came in, in which case it would get moved to the second spot. But we will shoot for first stop!" A day prior to the appointment, I once again reached out via chat to confirm and was told "Yes, you are still scheduled for the first stop of the day as of right now! It will be between 8-9am and we will also call you on the way!" I needed to square things away with work as I do not work close to my home. I received no phone call the morning of the appt, so i figured everything was on time. Around 9am, I called and was told "You shouldn't have been told you were the first spot, there's someone ahead of you, and the owners have the ability to move around times to how they see fit...right now someone is scheduled to come out to you between 930-1130." Annoyed by this, I thanked the woman and proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait. Around 11:15am I called again as no one had reached out to say they were on the way. This time another individual answered the phone and told me that I was next, but that the technician was still working on another job and was about 20 miles away...definitely was not going to be there before 11:30. Thoroughly frustrated by the complete lack of respect for my time and the fact that I confirmed they would be there between 8-9 UNLESS there was an emergency, I decided to cancel the appointment. I was then contacted via email by the same rep that initially helped me set up the appointment, who proceeded to tell me that she was "Sorry I felt this way" and "I explained to you then and once again after that we would call you on the way to avoid any confusion. Good luck with whoever you end up using, and have a great day." I even showed this rep screen grabs of our original conversation where she confirmed 8-9am and she still didn't get it. I think they think saying "We'll call you on the way" is their way to get out of any time commitment. Long story short, I just made an appointment with A A Better Locksmith out of Pawtucket, RI. They were easy to deal with and are committing to a weekend time (Something Flying Locksmith will not do, not unless you pay for an emergency/extra charge). I am going out of my way to write this lengthy review because of how screwed over by Flying Locksmiths I'm feeling. 4 hours of my life wasted on waiting for them. Terrible communication, terrible customer service...avoid them. I will make sure none of my friends or family ever use this company. What's a shame is that as a kid, I remembered seeing the van with the guy on a flying key on top driving around the south shore of Massachusetts. That funny van would make me smile, and when I needed a locksmith, they were the first people I thought of. If only I would've known just how profoundly disappointed I would've been.

I called Flying Locksmiths in Randolph on Monday morning to have locks at my new home re keyed. We were also having an issue with our back door popping open even when locked- this was really worrying me and I wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. I was told they'd be out that day or the next morning and to call back after 1 if I hadn't received a call. I called around 3:45 pm to ask if they could give me a time frame for the next morning since I had to be at work. I was told we were the first on the schedule for the morning and someone would be there by 9:30 at the latest. Around 10:30 on Tuesday no one had called or showed up yet so I made a phone call. I was told by a different person that we were on the schedule for sometime after 1pm and they're not supposed to give time frames because they have no idea when they'll be able to get to their next appointment. So apparently customers are supposed to sit around their house all day waiting for a locksmith to show up. I think it's unacceptable as far as customer service goes. Even the cable company gives you a 2 hour time frame. They should be working around the customer's schedule, not the other way around! I immediately called a 24 hour locksmith in Quincy who came to my house within the hour and was very professional. I would never recommend the Flying Locksmiths in Randolph.

I had just bought my first home. I was frantically looking for a locksmith. I contacted a well-known company (The Flying Locksmith) but their professionalism was null and void. I had read negative reviews on Yelp that I took into consideration. I went against my better judgment. I scheduled an appointment at 3p and received a call at 9a to change the locks. The gentleman that called was extremely rude. They in fact never came and didn't even reschedule, upon calling I was told that I would be the second appointment the following day and they apologize for the confusion. That following day I received a call and once again the gentleman was telling me they would be at my home later. When I tried to ask for a time frame he kept repeating like a broken record or like he was reading a script that they are a service and he couldn't give me a time. I received a call at 2p and I said I'm canceling the order. I would never use them again or refer them to anyone.

The technician was great, the price was not. I wish I had asked for a quote before having them come out, but it never crossed my mind that rekeying 4 cores would cost more than replacing 2 deadbolts and a knob! If you can change the hardware yourself than don't waste your time and money here. I could've purchased all new hardware mentioned above for $120 at the hardware store, but somehow rekeying the 4 cores cost me $175!

It really just comes down to the following question: how do you want to be treated? My wife told me she wanted me to make more keys for the apartment but I wasn't sure where some of the others were so I decided to do a complete lock change. We live in a building with high security locks so I needed to find a qualified locksmith and explain the particulars of my lock. I started with the buildings recommended Vendor - City Lock. Thirty seconds into explaining my situation, the a-hole cuts me off and says, "do you have a specific questions for me?" Other than "do you have any idea how to run a business," I didn't, so I hung up the phone and did some research. That's when I found the Flying Locksmith. Not only was their staff incredibly friendly on the phone, the took the time to listen to my needs and assure me they could handle the job. They scheduled an appointment, they showed up on time, they were beyond professional, and their work was flawless. They also took the time to follow up and make sure I was satisfied. I've made the recommendation to the board of my building that we only use TFL going forward. I'd give these guys 6 stars if it was an option! Thank you TFL!

The lock to our office had been freezing up in the cold weather and one of our employees snapped a key off in the lock. Flying Locksmiths came out quickly the next day, however for all the effort they put into what appears to be drilling out the lock cylinder and replacing it, we still struggled to lock the door the evening after they were here. As an added benefit the lock looks like it was hacked at with a hammer and pick and the cylinder wiggles in and out. And now, once again, a key is stuck in the lock. I would have expected the lock to work like new after paying for professional service.

I have used the Flying Locksmiths in Randolph in the past and they were great - but it has been a few years. The older staff - who may not be there anymore - were customer-focused and excellent. The young guys manning the store now are pathetic and useless. Their demeanor and attitude is anything but customer friendly (more like you are making their life tough than they are serving a customer). Went in for a key fob replacement - was crystal cleaar about it on the phone and in person and all they did was cut me a key (not a replacement key fob) and wanted to charge me $75 - after himming and hawing about how tough a job it might be. Very unprofessional, these clowns can't do anything more than cut a key. Zero customer service, zero customer listening skills, and horrible attitudes. Don't waste your time - they are now njo better than Home Depot or Lowes.

I'm updating this review because I received an apology from the owner for the previous experience. While I still am hesitant to call them again, I do appreciate the gesture. I'm to contact the owner on his cellphone for my next locksmith need. Upping a star for the follow up.

They were awesome. I called up, easy to deal with. The man was very professional. I would use them again. They also saved me money, by explaining to me why I did not need a new lock. on one of the doors, even though that is what I asked for

Excellent Service. Booked the appointment. Came right out. Mark was extremely knowledgeable. All my locks are keyed the same. Made me all the copies I needed. Extremely friendly. This is a great company. I would use them again. My realtor told me she recommends them to everyone and nobody has ever had an issue.

Don't do it. After scheduling a week ahead of time, and calling the day before to confirm... I took a half day off work to meet the locksmith. When he was forty five minutes late, I called the main number. I was told they would be here shortly. After an hour and fifteen minutes, I called again. The main number operator said he was just a couple of min away. AFTER another half an hour (two hours forty minutes waiting) - I called back and canceled. Horrible customer service.
